Fall 2020 One Room Challenge x High Point Market: Week 5
5 weeks later and here we are...
Did October even really happen?! Every time I think one month was crazy fast, the next one still manages to outpace it. Sheesh!
We're in the final stretch of the ORC and if you're following me on IG — you should be, by the way — then you caught a pretty epic announcement I made yesterday!
Yep... my husband & I are officially homeowners! I talk a lil bit about it here and here.
While totally coincidental, the timing of this announcement — and just this major milestone altogether — worked out perfectly with the ORC.
I told you guys that my ORC spaces were based on a real home... a home we looked it... and <insert plot twist> ultimately, it's the home we bought and now own!
Granted I took some creative liberties with the spaces for this virtual edition of the ORC — because why not — but it's been so fun and crazy to be secretly designing my own home while bringing this project to life (virtually) for you guys.
Will this exact HPMKT version of my design actually come to pass? Nope. Not even close. But boy has it been fun to imagine!
So where are we in the process?
If you read up on week 4, then you know I decided to "fire myself" and partner with Duke Renders to get the final photorealistic renderings of this design done. Being that this is a virtual ORC, the reveal will be virtual — the digital renderings of the space — but knowing that we now actually live in the home that these spaces are based on makes it both easier and harder to do this... harder because I have to separate the real life constraints from the ideas in my head, but easier because there's now a level of realness to this project that excites me!
