Mood Board Inspiration: November 2022

To know me is to know I try to live a hygge inspired lifestyle - chasing creating moments of bliss as often & consistently as possible. With that, I've designed my home to be a very hygge inspired safe place for my family & I. One of the major tenets of hygge inspire design is color - and not a lack of... instead, it's about layering hues & textures to create movement in a space, even when the tones are all neutral. My home isn't all neutral. It's layered. This is why my November 2022 monthly mood board inspiration may likely be my top favorite from the monthly mood board series... not to mention being very on brand for the season.

This last month before Winter takes over is the coziest of the seasons... and the hygge-est in my opinion. There's also a reason this palette very closely resembles the Albie Knows brand colors - this palette, like the image that inspired it, is all about chill & cozy vibes... the same warmth & comfort synonymous with the season.

From fashion to decor, this time of year you see a universal rallying around warmer hues & textures, like those seen in the photo.

The vibes of this mood board extend well beyond interior design or any one interior design style.

We've seen a lot of talk - this year especially - about choosing peace and "soft living" yet as we chase trends & algorithms & promotions & accolades - none of which is bad by the way - how much comfort are we really allowing ourselves when there's still these subconscious desire to "apply pressure" at every turn? The end of the year, so many of us fall into the trappings of the holiday hustle, trying to make up in two months for what we didn't do in nine... trying to get a head start on the new year... and just all the things. No matter your preferred style profile, these elements can be easily incorporated because all they really translate to, is comfort... and who doesn't love comfort? This mood board - this season - is a reminder to slow down & and allow yourself to experience more comfort & bliss. It's a reminder to live a more hygge inspired lifestyle.

It's giving breakfast in bed with the heat on & comfort binging your go to show.

It's giving afternoon tea wrapped up in your favorite sherpa throw basket.

It's giving burn some sage around the house when your anxiety is on a hundred.

It's giving intimate brunch date filled with long conversations & deep laugher.

It's giving nightcap on the deck & hosting dinner with friends al fresco.

It's all those things. It's everything. This mood board, very similar to the mood board inspiration for June/July 2020

IT’S A FEELING… A LIFESTYLE… A VIBE.
— Albie Knows

As we go into the second to last month of the year, I am high key only looking forward to a month that's better than the last 2 because September & October did not play nice. For the month of November I'm claiming the same hygge inspired chill vibes of this month's mood board inspiration. I'm claiming ease, coziness, warmth, and softness.
